With over a decade of experience, I’ve held key roles at Icade Santé, Savills, and Quirónsalud, specializing in asset management, capital markets, and healthcare real estate. I was responsible for launching Icade Santé’s operations in Iberia (now Praemia REIM Care) and for building the healthcare practice at Savills Spain. Today, I manage a portfolio of over €900 million and oversee institutional capital raising for pan-European funds.

Vitor Freitas Duarte joined Sonae in 1997 and held various positions ranging from Investor Relations at Sonae SGPS to Project Manager at Sonae UK. In 2004 he joined Sonae Sierra as a Finance Manager and, three years later, he assumed responsibilities as Senior Manager for New Projects and Acquisitions in Europe. Alexandre has more than 25 years of experience in Banking and Capital Markets, across different products and asset classes. After taking a BSc in business degree at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Alexandre started his career in the market risk department of BESI (now known as Haitong Bank) where he set up the VaR methodology for the bank and participated in a global risk project for the whole banking Espírito Santo group. In 2000 Alexandre moved to the derivatives and structured products desk of Banco Santander de Negócios where he had a lead role on the conception, structuring and execution of complex and innovative derivatives products for private and institutional investors. While at Santander, Alexandre was also involved in streamlining the market risk and volatility hedging activities of the bank. In late 2004, Alexandre was hired by Citigroup, carrying, in his 15 year tenure at the bank, different roles in the Portuguese sales desk.

Axel Brinkmann is the European Head of the Royal Bank of Canada’s Real Estate Capital Partners (RECP) group. This group provides a range of financial services including mortgage, whole-loan, mezzanine, and loan-on-loan facilities to real estate sponsors in the US, Europe, UK, and Australia. Axel is also a member of the RBC Capital Markets' European Executive Committee and manages the bank's European real estate corporate banking activities.
