The Alloy Block

505 State Street - The Alloy Block is a mixed-use residential and retail tower in Downtown Brooklyn, completed in Spring 2024 and part of a full-block redevelopment aiming to become Brooklyn’s most sustainable block. It is New York City’s first all-electric skyscraper, powered by local renewable energy, with 441 rental apartments (including 45 affordable homes) and retail along Flatbush Avenue.

Designed with a stepped, sculptural podium that responds to its neighborhood context, the building pairs high-performance living with thoughtful amenities—rooftop pool and sky lounge, fitness and workspaces, and the signature Grow Room, a tech-free, plant-filled retreat.

Brooklyn Marine Terminal – Vision Plan

The BMT Vision Plan aims to transform a strategic site on Brooklyn’s waterfront into a modern maritime port and a vibrant mixed-use community, integrating next-generation port infrastructure with sustainable urban development.

Approved in September 2025, the plan envisions the revitalization of 122 acres and the consolidation of the area as a key hub within New York City’s Blue Highways network, connecting multiple nodes across the Harbor of the Future.

The project positions the Brooklyn Marine Terminal as a model for the integration of logistics, urban development, and climate resilience, aligned with long-term investment strategies and sustainable growth.
