Daniele Carella

Daniele joins LUMI in 2024 as Head of Investments, leveraging his experience and track record in the real estate and financing sectors to drive strategic growth. Before joining LUMI, he served as Principal at Bain Capital Special Situations, overseeing real estate and special situations investments in Italy. From 2016 to 2023, he has concluded over €600 million in development projects across residential, hotel, office, and logistics sectors in Italy, and over €1 billion in distressed asset portfolios in Southern Europe. Prior to Bain Capital, he was Vice President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, focusing on non-performing loans and debt restructuring. He has also held roles at Martin Currie Investment Management and completed a summer internship at Nomura. Daniele holds an M.Sc. in Financial Economics from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and both an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Finance from Bocconi University, graduating cum laude. He is a CFA charterholder and fluent in Italian and English.
