David Collett

David Collett is Senior Managing Director, Real Estate at KAUST Investment Management Company, the investment arm of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. Recruited in 2009 as founding real estate leader, he built the program from a blank sheet into one of the largest, most globally diversified real estate portfolios of any university endowment, investing through direct JV platforms, co-investments and fund managers across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. Over 25+ years David has twice founded institutional investment platforms. He was previously Principal Portfolio Manager for real estate, private equity and infrastructure at the World Bank Pension and Endowments, and the first private markets hire at CPP Investment Board, building its inaugural real estate and alternatives program. He serves on several investment advisory boards, holds an MBA from Ivey, and is a U.S., UK and Canadian citizen.
