Biography
Richard J. Mack is the CEO & Co-Founder of Mack Real Estate Group (MREG), an integrated real estate investor, developer, operator, and lender he co-founded in 2013. He also serves as CEO and Chairman of Claros Mortgage Trust. Before establishing MREG, Mr. Mack spent two decades at AREA Property Partners (formerly Apollo Real Estate Advisors), ultimately serving as CEO of its North American business. During this time, he was instrumental in billions of dollars in debt and equity real estate transactions and developed new business lines. His career began in real estate investment banking at Shearson Lehman Hutton. Mr. Mack earned a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law. He also teaches a course on Real Estate Disruption at Wharton.
