Marc deBree
Biography
Marc deBree serves as the Head of Real Estate & Alternatives for the TIAA General Account, overseeing investment strategy and activity for its global, multi-asset class alternatives portfolio. This portfolio, totaling over $60 billion, includes real estate equity, commercial mortgages, private equity, agriculture, timber, energy, and infrastructure strategies. He joined TIAA in 2007, initially sourcing and underwriting real estate investment opportunities across the U.S. Prior to his current role, deBree was part of the portfolio management team at Nuveen Real Estate, where he managed acquisition and disposition activities and developed investment management strategies. He holds a B.A. in Urban Studies from The College of Wooster, and an M.B.A. and Master's of Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is a CAIA charterholder.
