Biography
Katy Reynolds is Co-founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Shibusa Systems LLC, a purposeful solution to the affordable housing crisis. As a social entrepreneur, Katy also founded The Vivelan Group in 2011 to provide comprehensive resource efficient solutions for designing, developing, and operating sustainable and resilient communities, achieving market rate returns while minimizing dependence on public subsidies. Her first project, 16 Powerhouse, completed early 2015 in Midtown Sacramento, CA, was a coordinated public private partnership effort led by Vivelan. 16 Powerhouse is the first mixed-use development in the U.S. to be completed using minimal subsidies to achieve LEED Platinum, net zero energy use, and market rate return
