Biography
Joseph joined OPG in January 2015 as the Director, Real Estate Investments. Joseph’s role focuses on the portfolio management of the real estate portfolios for the $13 billion OPG Pension Fund and the $17 billion Ontario Nuclear Funds. He is responsible for both fund commitments and direct investments in real estate. Joseph joined OPG from the Toronto office of a Swiss family office where he was responsible for real estate asset management and acquisitions. Previously, he was a portfolio manager at OPTrust (a $17.5 billion pension plan based in Toronto), where he worked for 9 years and gained considerable experience as they built a $2 billion Canadian and foreign real estate portfolio.

The Ontario Power Generation Pension Fund, founded in 1999, provides retirement income for Ontario Power Generation employees. Based in Toronto, it manages around $46 billion, strategically invested across diverse asset classes: fixed income (32.5%), equities (33%), real assets (32.5%), and other alternative investments (2%). As a major institutional investor, the fund actively engages in investment and acquisition activities, including an investment in Swell Energy.
