Joe Gorin

Joseph Gorin is the Managing Director and Head of U.S. Portfolio Management and Value-Add Investing at Barings Real Estate, based in New York. He is responsible for implementing Barings Real Estate's portfolio vision, with a focus on value-add investing strategies across client platforms. Gorin also serves on the Barings Real Estate U.S. Private Equity Investment Committee and Global Debt Investment Committee. With an industry career spanning since 1994, Gorin joined Barings in 2020. Prior to this, he was Co-Head of Goldman Sachs Asset Management's private equity real estate business. He also held positions as Managing Director at Rockwood Capital and senior roles at Equity Office Properties and GE Real Estate. Gorin co-manages the Barings Innovation and Growth Real Estate Fund, which focuses on life science and STEM office spaces. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business and Government from Skidmore College.
