Biography

Christopher Hughes is CEO - Capital Markets and East Region at Hines. A veteran of the firm since 1986, he currently serves as Global Head of Capital Markets, leading institutional capital raising, fund structuring, and joint ventures worldwide. His prior leadership included serving as CEO of the East Region (2007-2021), where he significantly expanded Assets Under Management from $5 billion to over $20 billion and oversaw extensive development and acquisition activity. Hughes is also a key member of Hines' Executive and Investment Committees. He earned his BA in History from Southern Methodist University.
