Biography

Since 2012 he leads the Economic Research Team at Grupo Bancolombia, which is the leading research house in the country. Juan Pablo holds a M.Sc. in Financial Economics from Oxford University and has undergraduate studies in Finance and International Affairs. He has a 20-years professional experience. He joined Grupo Bancolombia in 2003, and prior to his current responsibility he was Head of Investment Strategy, Head of Product Development and Risk Manager at the Asset Management Division. He also worked at Finance Ministry and was a consultant at the World Bank’s Financial Modernization Project for Bogota. In addition, he is a well-known economic speaker and op-ed writer at several local economic publications. He also lectures graduate courses on Economics and Finance at Externado, la Sabana and EAFIT universities.
