Biography
Fernando Mulet is the Chief Development Officer at Playa Hotels & Resorts, where he leads global development initiatives. With over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Mulet specializes in strategic growth through partnerships with brands, owners, and investors, focusing on key regions for expansion. Since joining Playa at its inception in 2006, he has been pivotal in development efforts across Mexico, the Caribbean, and the USA. His responsibilities include feasibility analysis for hotel acquisitions, managing the Architecture, Design & Construction team, and overseeing third-party management and asset management. Mulet holds a degree in Business Administration from Comillas Pontifical University and a certification in Real Estate, Development, and Hotel Investment from Cornell University.
