Swarup Mohanty
Biography
Swarup Mohanty is the Vice Chairman & CEO of Mirae Asset Investment Managers (India) Pvt. Ltd. He has over 30 years of experience in financial services, specializing in Asset Management Sales. Mohanty joined Mirae Asset in July 2011 as Head of Sales and was elevated to CEO in February 2016. Under his leadership, Mirae Asset's Indian operations have grown significantly, with assets under management crossing the ₹1-lakh crore mark. He is also actively involved in key industry bodies, including SEBI's Mutual Fund Advisory Committee (MFAC). Mohanty holds a PGDBM and B.Com (Hons.) degree, and is an alumnus of Stanford University's Graduate School of Business (Stanford Executive Program). In October 2023, he was promoted to Vice Chairman of Mirae Asset Financial Group, becoming the first non-Korean to hold this prestigious role.
