Stephen Scherr
Biography
Stephen Scherr is Co-President of Pretium, overseeing the Firm’s strategic and operational initiatives. He is a member of Pretium's Executive Committee and Board of Directors. Stephen has more than 30 years’ experience in financial services and consumer-facing businesses, including nearly three decades at Goldman Sachs, where he served as Chief Financial Officer from 2018 to 2021. During his time at the firm, he also served as Chief Strategy Officer, was a long-standing member of the firm’s Management Committee, led the Firmwide Risk Committee for many years and managed several of the firm’s most important businesses. Following his career at Goldman Sachs, Stephen was Chairman and CEO of the Hertz Corporation from 2022 to 2024.
