Skardon Baker

Skardon Baker is a Partner at Apollo Global Management, based in London, where he leads the European Principal Finance (EPF) business and co-heads European Asset-Backed Finance (ABF). He is also a Member of Apollo's European Management Team, serving on multiple investment committees. Prior to joining Apollo in 2012, Mr. Baker was a Managing Director at Oaktree Capital Management and The Carlyle Group, focusing on distressed debt, special situation equity, and private credit. His earlier career includes M&A at JPMorgan Chase and service as an officer in the U.S. Army, and Chief Speechwriter to Governor George W. Bush. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a JD from The University of Texas School of Law, and a BA from Harvard University.
