Paolo Gencarelli
Biography
Paolo Gencarelli is the Head of Group Real Estate at Gruppo Poste Italiane, responsible for managing, rationalizing, and enhancing the Group's extensive real estate portfolio. He plays a key role in strategic initiatives like Progetto Polis, focused on redeveloping 7,000 post offices to offer integrated public services and sustainable technologies. Gencarelli joined Poste Italiane in July 2017, initially as Purchasing Manager. Prior to this, he held leadership positions at Unicredit, including Managing Director of Unicredit Real Estate and Head of Group Real Estate & Supply Chain, overseeing real estate, purchasing, and cost management. His professional journey began in consultancy at Bain & Company. He holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Civil Engineering degree from "La Sapienza" University of Rome.
