US born, he was raised in Malaysia and other SE Asian countries. Additionally, he has lived in Canada, UK, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Hong Kong, China (Shanghai), Indonesia, UAE, Thailand, Singapore and India.

He is also a professional member (MRICS) of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
