Biography
Margarida is a Main Board Director and Chair of the Americas Board, leading the practice’s Lisbon and São Paulo-based teams. She launched the Lisbon Studio in 1996 and 14 years later the São Paulo studio. Since then, both studios have been under her leadership. In 2012 Margarida was appointed to Chair the practice’s Americas Board. Margarida was nominated for the “Inspire Woman Award 2008” in the category of “International Woman of the Year”. She has designed high-profile and award-winning leisure, hospitality and workplace schemes and has been a regular speaker at conferences on topics including masterplanning, resorts, sustainability and regeneration.
