Laurie Woolmer
Biography
Laurie Woolmer is an Associate Partner at The Townsend Group, where he leads the Special Situations team in Europe. He is responsible for deploying the firm's discretionary fund and separate account capital through diverse investment strategies, including LP and GP-led secondaries, platform and entity investments, recapitalizations, programmatic joint ventures, and co-investments. His role also encompasses significant asset and portfolio management responsibilities. Prior to joining Townsend in 2015, Mr. Woolmer gained experience at Landmark Partners, focusing on secondary positions in European closed-ended fund structures, and previously worked at CBRE and BNP Paribas. He holds a BSc from the University of Bristol and an MSc in Real Estate Finance from Kingston University, and is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
