Biography

Huib Vaessen serves as Head of Research and Analytics Real Assets at APG Asset Management, one of the Netherlands' largest pension asset managers. In this role, he leads analytical frameworks and research initiatives for APG's substantial real assets portfolio, which includes real estate, infrastructure, and natural resources investments. Vaessen brings expertise in quantitative analysis and strategic asset allocation within alternative investments. At APG, he contributes to investment decision-making processes that support pension outcomes for millions of beneficiaries. His work focuses on developing sophisticated research methodologies and analytics to optimize real assets performance within APG's diversified investment approach, supporting the firm's mission to deliver sustainable long-term returns for Dutch pension participants.
