Biography
Gawain Smart is CEO of International Campus Group (ICG), a leading pan-European purpose-built student accommodation platform backed by Brookfield. Since taking on the role, he has overseen the growth of ICG to close to €2.0 billion of assets across core European markets, while strengthening the company’s operating platform, brand portfolio, and data-led, consumer-focused approach to student living. Under his leadership, ICG has scaled its development, acquisition, and operating capabilities, with a strong focus on operational performance, technology-enabled efficiency, and long-term value creation for institutional capital.
