Alastair McDonnell
Biography
Alastair McDonnell is a Partner and Head of European Portfolio Management in Ares Real Estate at Ares Management, a global alternative asset manager. Joining Ares in 2013, he focuses on European real estate equity and oversees portfolio and asset management for equity funds across 15 countries. He has been instrumental in raising over $3bn of equity for Ares's European Value Added program. Previously, he was a Director at AREA Property Partners and a Senior Director at CBRE Global Investors, where he managed the Pan European Core Fund. Mr. McDonnell holds an M.A. from the University of Cambridge in Land Economy and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
