Biography
Mônica Paixão is the CEO of Le Canton, a leading resort in Teresópolis, Brazil, since her promotion in October 2023. With over 30 years in hotel management, including significant leadership roles at Le Méridien and Ipanema Plaza Hotel, she has transformed Le Canton since joining in 2015 as General Director. Under her guidance, Le Canton has achieved consistent growth, inaugurated major attractions like Hotel Magique and Canton Ville, expanded its water park, and launched award-winning in-house food production. Paixão, who holds degrees in Economics and Public Relations with a specialization from Glion Hotel School, is recognized for her strategic vision and for being the first woman CEO of Le Canton.
