Biography

José Berenguer é considerado um dos mais importantes profissionais do setor financeiro brasileiro e tem uma trajetória de sucesso em algumas das principais instituições com presença no país. Entre 2013 e 2020, foi CEO do J.P. Morgan no Brasil. Anteriormente, entre 2012 e 2013, ocupou a posição de CEO da Gávea Crédito e, entre 2007 e 2012, atuou como CEO de diferentes áreas do Banco Santander (Banco de Investimentos e de Atacado, Asset Management e Private Banking e Banco de Varejo), além de ter sido membro do Conselho de Administração. Teve ainda passagens pelo Banco ABN Amro Real S/A, Banco BBA Creditanstalt S/A, ING Barings, ING Bank Brazil e Banco Boavista. Berenguer foi presidente do Conselho do Fundo Brasileiro para a Biodiversidade (FunBio). É membro do Conselho da Febraban, Federação Brasileira de Bancos, e membro do Conselho da B3. Foi Presidente da ABBI, Conselheiro da Acrefi e ABBC. É formado em Direito pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP).
