Jan Smits
Biography
Jan Smits works closely with the senior management team to grow and maximise the value of the Pro-invest Fund Portfolios. Prior to this Jan was the CEO of InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), responsible for the growth and operations of more than 300 hotels and resorts in close to 50 countries operating under six globally renowned brands. During his tenure, Jan led a 60,000-strong workforce, launched several brands and created new business models to grow the region into a US$4 billion business. A highly empathetic leader, Jan is recognised for his passion for coaching and mentoring as well as his ability to spot and nurture next-generation talent. Jan has a deep commitment to social responsibility and inclusion.
