The GRI Awards India 2026 was created to recognize real estate market leaders who not only shine throughout the year, but go beyond excellence. It is a GRI award that seeks to celebrate and honour developers, investors and key players in the real estate expansion in India.

Iconic projects are awarded, both in construction, architecture and design. Outstanding teamwork and leadership with a positive impact on ESG values are honoured. The finalists and winners in each category represent quality, transformation and innovation for a better country.

Following an open and meticulously supervised voting process to ensure the accuracy and fairness of results, the awards ceremony will be held at the exclusive GRI India Awards VIP dinner.

This ceremony marks the culmination of the GRI India 2026 agenda, where Indian industry leaders will gather for one day of discussions on financing and investment opportunities while reinforcing important connections.

How does the GRI India Awards 2026 work?

Who can participate?

Any company operating in the Indian real estate market may submit eligible projects, transactions, or initiatives according to the criteria defined for each category. The GRI Institute reserves the right to disqualify any submission that fails to meet these criteria.

Is there a limit to how many projects a company can submit?

No. Companies may submit as many projects as they wish, provided that each one meets the eligibility requirements.

What is the submission deadline?

The final submission deadline will be announced soon. Projects must be submitted by the confirmed deadline once it is published.

What are the eligibility criteria?

Projects must:

Be located in India;
Be delivered or have at least one phase scheduled for delivery by December 2026;
Comply with the specific requirements of the chosen category.

What if a category receives few entries?

If a category receives fewer than three eligible entries, it may be cancelled. In such cases, participants may:

Transfer their project to another eligible category, or
Request a full refund of the submission fee.

Who evaluates the projects?

An independent judging panel made up of industry professionals, academics, and association leaders will evaluate the submissions. No judge may vote in a category where a conflict of interest exists. In addition to expert evaluation, there will be an online public vote equivalent to one judge’s vote. In case of a tie, GRI Institute will cast the deciding vote.

Awards Ceremony: October 8, 2026 - Mumbai

Can finalists compete in the global awards?

Yes. All Indian winners will be automatically considered as finalists for the GRI Global Awards 2026, in Abu Dhabi, offering broader recognition and international exposure.
