About Soravia

The name Soravia has stood for construction and real estate expertise since the end of the 19th century. Giovanni "Johann" Batista Soravia (1841-1912) left his home in northern Italy and moved to the Carinthian Drautal. There he initially worked as an official river master. He recognized the urgency of infrastructural measures and founded the construction company SORAVIA Bau together with Johann Lindauer in 1885. The focus of the new company was on road construction.
