Mariana Cortez is a founding partner at Koury Lopes Advogados (KLA), specializing in Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Real Estate. With over 30 years of experience, she advises clients on M&A transactions across diverse industries, including education, retail, pulp and paper, and real estate markets. Her expertise encompasses joint venture negotiations, due diligence, and complex contract agreements, including rural land acquisitions and sale-leaseback transactions. Mariana is consistently recognized by leading legal directories such as The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners for her work in Corporate and Real Estate Law. She also founded KLA's German Desk and holds an LL.M. from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität.
