Christopher Garbe

Christopher Garbe has a BA in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Hamburg and an MBA in International Management and Marketing gained in Sydney. He worked for the Australian shopping centre developer Westfield as a management executive for several years, before joining Garbe UK in 2006. Christopher Garbe has been a director of the London business since March 2006 and a Managing Director since March 2007. In 2006, he joined the Board of Directors of Garbe Holding AG & Co. KG, where he is responsible for developing the Group’s transactions in the UK and since 2009 also for the Group’s other foreign business. Recently, he has taken on a joint responsibility for the business area Corporate Finance.

Christopher Garbe is the CEO and Managing Partner of GARBE, one of Europe’s leading privately owned real estate investment and development platforms, with approximately €15 billion in assets under management & development. Since joining GARBE as CEO and Managing Partner in 2010, he has led the company’s international expansion and strategic evolution. In 2024, he introduced GARBE’s “Sheds, Beds & Infrastructure” strategy, broadening the platform beyond its market-leading logistics business into residential real estate, data centres, food-anchored retail, and renewable energy infrastructure. He has also established long-term partnerships with many of the world’s leading institutional investors. Christopher holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Hamburg, an MBA in International Management and Marketing from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), and is a participant in the Owner/President Management (OPM) Program at Harvard Business School.
