Andres Gluski
Biography
Andres Gluski serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of AES Corporation, a position he has held since 2011. Under his leadership, AES has transformed into a global leader in clean power, emphasizing renewable energy and pioneering grid-scale battery energy storage. He implemented an aggressive carbon reduction strategy, targeting net-zero carbon emissions by 2040. Gluski joined AES in 2000, having previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Regional President for Latin America. His career also includes senior finance roles and positions at the International Monetary Fund. He earned his B.A. from Wake Forest University and holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Virginia.
