Biography

Renan Sona is a partner at Demarest, specializing in Public and Regulatory Law, Infrastructure, and Project Finance. He earned his Law degree from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a specialization in Administrative Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV). Renan is renowned for his expertise in structuring legal frameworks for concession and public-private partnership (PPP) projects, as well as in privatization and infrastructure investments across sectors like highways, ports, airports, urban mobility, railways, sanitation, waste management, public lighting, and social infrastructure. His practice includes providing legal support in bidding and public contracts execution, defending company interests before regulatory agencies, and assisting concessionaires with contract execution and renegotiation.
