Biography

Oleg Sofronov is currently Underwriter at Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), based in Washington DC. Experience in providing guarantees for equity and debt investments, including greenfield and brownfield project finance, PPPs, sovereign and municipal credit risk. Focus areas are transport, water, sanitation, waste management, energy infrastructure. Before MIGA was in Commercial Lines insurance at AIG and Allianz. Holds Master’s degree in Finance from National Research University - Higher School of Economics, Moscow and MBA from Rotterdam School of Management, the Netherlands.
