Lori Michaelson serves as Head of Latin America in the Development Office at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), America's development finance institution. In this role, she leads strategic initiatives to mobilize private capital for development projects across Latin America. Michaelson brings extensive experience in international development finance, working to advance economic growth and development in emerging markets. At DFC, she focuses on structuring and managing development finance solutions that address critical development challenges while generating positive development impact. Her expertise spans project finance, risk assessment, and cross-border investment facilitation in the Latin American region, supporting DFC's mission to partner with the private sector to finance solutions to development challenges.
