Biography

Hélvio Neves Guerra é Diretor da Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica (ANEEL) do Brasil, cargo para o qual foi indicado em 2020 e reconduzido em 2022. Engenheiro Eletricista com mestrado pela EFEI (atual Unifei) e doutorado em Planejamento de Sistemas Energéticos pela Unicamp, possui vasta experiência no setor elétrico. Antes de sua atuação atual, Hélvio Guerra foi Secretário Adjunto de Planejamento e Desenvolvimento Energético do Ministério de Minas e Energia (MME) entre 2019 e 2020. Na ANEEL, ocupou diversas superintendências de 2001 a 2019 e presidiu a Comissão Especial de Licitações (CEL) de 2006 a 2010, sendo responsável por importantes leilões de energia e transmissão. Também atuou como professor universitário e vice-reitor da Universidade Federal do Amazonas.
