Biography

Eduardo Pimentel is the Mayor of Curitiba, Brazil, a position he assumed in January 2025. He previously served two terms as Deputy Mayor of Curitiba from 2017 to 2024. From 2023 to 2024, Pimentel was the Secretary of Cities of Paraná, overseeing over R$4 billion in investments. An administrator by profession, he holds a degree in Business Administration, a post-graduate degree in Agribusiness, and a specialization in Smart Cities. His career highlights include delivering stalled infrastructure projects as Municipal Secretary of Public Works. As Mayor, he has implemented initiatives such as reducing public transport fares and advancing housing and urban development projects, including those with sustainable features.
