Biography
Cristina Simon Morientes serves as the Head of Social Infrastructure at IDB Invest, a role she assumed in 2018. In this capacity, she drives strategy development, client management, and the structuring of transactions within the health and education sectors across Latin America and the Caribbean. With over eighteen years of specialized expertise in infrastructure finance, Cristina previously held the position of Director at Deloitte's Infrastructure Finance and PPPs Unit for ten years, working in Colombia, Brazil, and Spain. Her background also includes experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Infrastructures, Government & Utilities Department. She holds a Business degree from CUNEF and a Master's Degree in Corporate Finance and Investment Banking from IEB.
