Foi fundada em 1994 como sociedade de economia mista e hoje tem como sócios a Celesc, Gaspetro, Mitsui Gás e Energia do Brasil e Infragás. A empresa iniciou a sua operação em 2000 com a interligação do primeiro cliente, do segmento industrial, em Joinville.
