Adrián Armas Rivas

Adrián Armas Rivas is the Central Manager of Economic Studies at Banco Central de Reserva del Perú, a role he has held since March 2008. He previously served as Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund for the Southern Cone Jurisdiction from December 2017 to October 2018. Mr. Armas has extensive experience at the BCRP, having joined in 1986, and held positions such as Manager of Economic Studies and Deputy Manager of the Monetary Sector. He holds a Master's Degree in Economics from Boston University and a Bachelor's from Universidad del Pacífico. An expert in macroeconomic and central banking issues, he has authored numerous monetary policy papers and co-edited the book "Financial Dollarization: The Policy Agenda."
