Sanjay Sharma

Sanjay Sharma is the Director (Solar) at the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), a position he assumed on March 28, 2022. With over 36 years of extensive experience in the power sector, including approximately 25 years at Power Grid Corporation of India, he has been instrumental in driving SECI's growth since joining in September 2015. Sharma has been a key force in advancing renewable energy initiatives, including the Green Hydrogen Economy, and played a crucial role in SECI achieving "Navratna Company" status. Under his leadership, SECI has awarded approximately 50 GW of renewable energy projects, attracting significant global investments. Academically, he holds a B.Tech (Hons) and an MBA, and is a Certified Energy Auditor and Project Manager. He was also recognized with the prestigious CBIP Award for his outstanding contributions to the renewable energy sector.
