Biography

Jason Pellmar, formerly New Business Manager, Infra, South Asia at IFC - International Finance Corporation, India, led significant infrastructure investment initiatives. His contributions included pioneering India's sustainability-linked financing for road and warehouse trusts and developing IFC's largest global battery energy storage system project. Pellmar's extensive career at IFC encompassed new business development in Myanmar, executing the first infrastructure investment there, and managing transactions across Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. Prior to IFC, he managed a global energy portfolio at GE Energy Financial Services. He earned a Master's in International Finance and Russian & Eurasian Studies from Johns Hopkins SAIS and was a Fulbright Scholar. As of July 2025, Jason Pellmar serves as the World Bank Group's Country Manager for Bulgaria.
