Daniel Engel has significant experience in providing legal advice to national and foreign companies in infrastructure contracts in the various phases of projects (from greenfield to implementation, restructuring and claims management), in project finance, M&A transactions involving infrastructure and energy assets, as well as in public contracts and regulatory aspects of several industries.

He has worked within Santander’s Project Finance team since 2007, after 6 years working with KPMG, Alcoa and Bank BCN. In Santander, he is currently responsible for the Project Finance division, having been the Head of Power from 2011 to 2016. He has advised numerous infrastructure & power projects, including (i) HPP and SHP with a total installed capacity of over 7 GW; (ii) wind and solar power projects with installed capacity of over 7GW; (iii) thermal power plants with installed capacity of more than 2GW; (iv) highways, ports and PPPs. These projects represent an aggregated capex of about BRL 80 billion. Edson is graduated in Business Administration and holds an MPA from FGV.

José Antonio Rosa Neto is a Partner and Head of Infrastructure at BRZ Investimentos, a Brazilian investment firm he joined in March 2011. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Mr. Neto possesses extensive experience in logistics, port operations, and agribusiness, with previous roles at Itaú Unibanco, Votorantim Novos Negócios, and Telemar/Oi. He currently serves on the boards of Portinvest, TGSC, and Regina Festas.

Karla Bertocco Trindade has more than 15 years of leadership experience in the infrastructure industry in Brazil. In 2019 served as managing director of the Government and Infrastructure division at BNDES – Brazilian Development Bank, and prior to this position was the CEO of SABESP – São Paulo Water and Sanitation Company (2018), a mixed capital company responsible for providing services to more than 25 million people in the state of São Paulo. She was also Undersecretary for Partnerships and Innovation at the São Paulo State Government (2015-2018), in charge of PPP’s and privatizations in different sectors, and before director of Artesp and Arsesp. She joint Maua in 2020 and is also a Board member at Corsan/RS and Orizon/resíduos.

Marcelo Girão is a Managing Director, Head of Project Finance, and Partner at Itaú BBA. With over 24 years of experience, he has an extensive track record in advising clients and structuring project finance transactions. Marcelo has participated in projects totaling more than 30 GW of power generation capacity, 10,000 km of transmission lines, and numerous infrastructure initiatives, including toll roads, water and sewage systems, airports, and others. These projects represent an aggregate CAPEX exceeding BRL 200 billion. Before joining Itaú BBA, Marcelo spent five years at Banco Votorantim, six years at Itaú Unibanco, and one year at Booz Allen & Hamilton. He holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA) and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Economics and Finance at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV).

Graduated in Civil Engineering at Poli-USP, he holds post-graduate degrees in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and Hospital Administration from Universidade Federal da Bahia. He is a Black Belt in process control with the Six Sigma tool (Juran Institute). Economist, graduated from Candido Mendes University and with an MBA in IESE/ISE in 2004. Twenty years of experience on the professional services industry, 10 of them at Concremat. Since July/2015 Mauro is the CEO of the company. Mauro is also a Board Member of PMI (Project Management Institute) Brazil and volunteer at Instituto República. Before working in Concremat, he worked as business strategy consultant and auditor for multinational companies. In January 2017, Concremat began to be part of China Communications Construction Company - CCCC, one of the world's leaders in infrastructure projects and construction.

Nathalia Seoane is a senior director and the head of Business Relationship for Latam Corporate Issuers and the head of Private Equity Outreach for Latam at Fitch Ratings. Fitch enjoys the leading coverage and local presence in Corporates in the region and Nathalia is responsible for defining and executing the business strategy as well as coordinating outreach efforts with local and global teams. Prior to joining Fitch in 2013, Nathalia worked 8 years for Banco Credit Agricole in Brazil as she acted as a relationship manager and a senior credit analyst for large Corporates. Throughout my career, I have led the development and implementation of strategic solutions, generating value for various stakeholders, with a strong focus on business innovation, M&A, corporate governance, new business, and the repositioning of institutional and reputational image. Today, I serve as Director of Institutional Relations and a board member of more than ten SPVs invested in by Socicam, participating in strategic decision-making to ensure investment returns, maximize opportunities, mitigate risks, and ensure business sustainability.
