Masatoshi Matsuo
Biography
In his current role, Matsuo’s focus is to expand Genkai’s portfolio in US & India. He served as President & Chairman of Board of Fukuoka Realty from 2004 to 2006, & successfully originated & completed the IPO of Fukuoka REIT, a regional J- REIT. Prior to that he served as Senior VP in charge of marketing for proprietary investment in the Global Real Estate Group of Lehman Brothers in Japan from 1999 to 2004. From 1993 to 1999, Matsuo held the post of VP within Mitsui Fudosan USA and was responsible for managing about 100 billion yen in assets generated by properties in California and Hawaii. He was a project manager in the Project Development Division of Mitsui Fudosan between 1987 and 1993. He also acts as a council member for ULI Japan.
