Mahaveer Jain

Mahaveer Jain is a Director at India Ratings & Research, where he leads the Real Estate Ratings practice. He oversees credit rating coverage for more than 85 real estate entities—both listed and privately held—spanning residential and commercial real estate as well as the hospitality sector. Under his leadership, the team has authored several sectoral research reports and analytical commentaries on India’s real estate landscape. Mahaveer has played a pivotal role in developing the firm’s credit rating methodologies for the real estate sector, including frameworks for evaluating Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). He is also a guest trainer for multiple banks, delivering programs on real estate credit analysis. With over 15 years of experience in financial research, Mahaveer has worked across sectors including Real Estate, Metals, and Textiles. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certified by GARP.
