Elena Villalba
Biography
Elena Villalba is Managing Director - Iberia & Latam at Mirabaud Asset Management, a position she has held since February 2018. In this role, she leads business development across all investor segments in Spain, Portugal, and Latin America. With over 20 years of extensive experience in asset management and direct portfolio management, her career prior to Mirabaud Asset Management included leadership positions as Head of Business Development at MerchBanc and Deputy General Manager at Banco Madrid for five years. Villalba also co-founded Focus Capital Ltd, serving as co-CIO, and held significant roles at firms like Credit Suisse and American Express. Her educational background includes a Master in Portfolio Management from IEB and an Economics degree from Bentley College, complemented by certifications from Harvard Business School and MIT.
