Sergio Gusmão

Sergio Gusmão Suchodolski is President at VR Investimentos. He also serves as Executive Vice President and Partner at the firm, bringing extensive experience in development finance and impact investing. Previously, Mr. Suchodolski was CEO of the Development Bank of São Paulo (Desenvolve SP) and the Development Bank of Minas Gerais (BDMG). His career highlights include serving as Director General, Strategy and Partnerships at the New Development Bank (BRICS bank), and Chief of Staff to the President of BNDES. He holds a Law degree from USP, an LL.M. from Harvard Law School, and a Master's from Sciences Po. He is also a Senior Fellow at CEBRI and a Global Fellow at the Wilson Center, focusing on sustainable development.

Presidente do Banco de Desenvolvimento de Minas Gerais S/A - BDMG, bacharel em Direito pela USP, com mestrado em Direito pela Harvard Law School e em Comércio Internacional, Economia e Ciências Políticas pela Sciences Po - Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris. Foi diretor-geral de Estratégia e Parcerias do New Development Bank, o banco do BRICS. Também atuou como chefe de Gabinete da Presidência do BNDES.
