Biography

Darren Hutchinson is the Managing Director and Head of UK Real Estate Transactions at Barings Asset Management, a role he has held since joining the firm in 2006. He is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in real estate transactions, encompassing fund management, asset management, acquisitions, dispositions, and development across various property sectors including office, retail, and industrial. Before Barings, Hutchinson held positions at Cushman & Wakefield Investors, LV=, Cushman & Wakefield, and CB Richard Ellis. He holds a degree in Urban Estate Management from Kingston University. A member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Investment Property Forum, he has been instrumental in significant transactions, such as the strategic sale of UK logistics assets and the acquisition of major office developments.
