Jorge Sicilia

Jorge Sicilia is the Chief Economist of BBVA Group and Director of BBVA Research, leading a global team of economists across Europe, Asia, and the Americas focused on economic and financial analysis. He is also a member of BBVA's ALCO and Regulatory Committee. His extensive experience includes serving as BBVA's Chief Economist for North America and as Principal Economist in the Monetary Policy Stance Division at the European Central Bank. Mr. Sicilia holds an MsC in Economics and Finance from CEMFI and a Degree in Quantitative Economics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He is a frequent speaker and author of several economic and financial papers.
