Vineet Mittal

Vineet Mittal is the Chairman of Avaada Group, a prominent integrated energy conglomerate at the forefront of India's clean energy transition. An alumnus of Harvard Business School and an NIT engineer, he is a seasoned entrepreneur. Mittal previously founded Welspun Energy, a significant renewable energy company, which he later successfully divested. In 2017, he established Avaada Group, leading its rapid expansion into renewable energy, solar PV manufacturing, and green hydrogen. Under his direction, Avaada aims for 30 GWp renewable capacity by 2030 and has completed landmark projects, including the world's largest 1.25 GWp solar project in Rajasthan. A recognized thought leader in global climate action, he has been twice honored as "Solar Man of the Year."
