Biography

Dan Bucsa serves as Chief CEE Economist at UniCredit, based in London. Appointed to this role in November 2017, he is responsible for leading UniCredit's macroeconomic research for the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region. He joined UniCredit in 2012, previously holding positions as Lead CEE Economist in London and Chief Economist at UniCredit Bank Romania. Before his tenure in the private sector, Bucsa lectured at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and contributed to macroeconomic modeling and forecasting at the National Bank of Romania, including developing its inflation targeting framework. He holds a PhD in Macroeconomics and an MSc in Finance from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies.
