Biography
Rafael Matas Trillo is Head of Andean Countries and Energy Sector Lead in the Infrastructure and Energy Division at IDB Invest. He joined the IDB Group in 2007, leading the Andean Region since 2020. Matas drives major transportation, renewable energy, and water/sanitation projects across Latin America, structuring landmark transactions like Lima Airport and significant solar and wind initiatives. He holds degrees from ESADE and Georgetown University.
